Day 303 : Celeste

A little bit of mixed media today. The surface is made up of angelina fibres, melted with the circle impression using Barbara Gray's method and one of our new stamps (due for release 16 Nov). I've then stitched this onto fabric using a herringbone stitch and covered a button mould. 

The moon was really bright last night, I even took a photo which is unusual for me. It was very pretty. The silvery blue of these fibres do make me think of the moon.

As more and more of us go into lockdown, I do hope that you are all doing ok.

A little cheery button today. The sun was shining for a little while for us this morning, but gosh it turned cold this afternoon. I am amazed at how well I layer these days. ;)

Busy busy at the moment working on quite a few commissions, which is lovely. When there are more than one, I can go back and forth to keep my mind active. We are also busy planning the next Hochanda show, so a lot of kit planning. So it really is all go (and I haven't even factored in the paperwork!)

Today's button is a bit of a doodle button. The ground colour wasn't the easiest to find contrasts with, at least ones that would photograph. That can be an issue, as I am sure many of you have noticed, that sometimes my camera doesn't quite pick up what I would like it to. Ah well, should you ever be able to see the buttons in real life, perhaps you'll enjoy them all the more.

Ever so cold and wet today. And of course, with the clocks having gone back on Sunday, it's dark and dreary too. So I will try to think of some cheery designs.
