Day 285 : Square Knot

Well, you actually can't see it - but this knot is over a square bead. I was really chuffed with how it turned out. 

It has been a very eventful day. I'll elaborate later on, nothing dreadful or anything, but I'm actually pretty tired out and now have a fair bit of regular things to catch up on!

Nope, I still am not keen on the changes to the blogger layout. Guess I'll get used to it ;)

Today's button is one using the plushwork technique - so quite a boring name really, but it does best describe this very tactile button! I've used regular stranded embroidery cotton for the plush part, it almost looks like silk.

I've used a square button mould in a size we don't actually make - cut out a little larger for a commission at some time.

Today's button is really another doodle button. I do find them relaxing! Although I didn't wear my brace in bed last night, so my thumb has been aching a bit today. It's a good excuse to have a chill-out Saturday! The colour contrast is stronger in real life, it seems a little light in the photo.

I've used a No 66 button mould and No 12 perle.
