Day 43: Embrace
Today's button plays around with some advanced grappé stitches, adding interest to what would be an otherwise plain cloth covered button. This is a soft button - I added two layers of wadding inbetween the button mould and the fabric - this makes it very tactile. I like buttons shaped in this way. I think many people think the only way to get a domed button is to use a domed mould, but there are many different ways to achieve height.
I've used a cotton perle 8 for the decoration, and a No 3 mould
