Today's button uses a very classic technique (see what I did there) - weaving over a death's head wrap. I started out with the intention of working a 19th century design, but went off on a tangent a bit because I like the tree/leaf like motif that formed so finished it, then I decided to add a bit extra at the corners...

A little piece of Teneriffe lace today, with a little bit of extra decoration. I'm working on patterns for the instruction sheet for our next loom - a triangle - this weekend. Of course, that means a lace button too.

Other than that, the usual things - holding the ladder while Mark cuts the hedge, making a half hearted attempt of tidying ;) - you know, weekend stuff.

Embroidery for today! The design a taster of things to come.... This has been worked on felt actually, with a hand dyed (I think it might have been described as 'painted' ) perle No 8 thread. There are more gradients of colour than I have been able to pick up in my image though.  I have no idea where I got it, but it one of those special ones in my box that I am starting to run out of. 

It has been another long week, so I will keep this short this evening.
