Day 257: Classic

Day 257 : Classic - One Button a Day 2020 by Gina Barrett

Day 257 : Classic

Today's button uses a very classic technique (see what I did there) - weaving over a death's head wrap. I started out with the intention of working a 19th century design, but went off on a tangent a bit because I like the tree/leaf like motif that formed so finished it, then I decided to add a bit extra at the corners...

Back to the grind tomorrow - have a good week everyone!

  1. I thought you put purple aside - okay, you did for a while! Anyhow, this little number is very cute and the knots on the corners are just right. Yesterday's triangle was interesting and I think we need to see more three sided work - do we hear some Spanish music in the background? Hope your piles got a bit off the top - mine did from pure need - had to move cookbooks off the bottom shelf to set mouse traps! And we haven't caught any yet - oooookkkk! At least I got rid off a few books I've never used. It is still warm and windy and smoky here but we are holding up. The neighbors with dark cars have a layer of ash on them - very glad to wear a mask outside! Hope you have a good week - just nice steady progress and a minimum of alarms and excursions. Best regards to M & T and a hug to you. C in C xxx

    1. Haha! I promise, its actually a dusky pink - more like an antique rose. The picture is bringing out more blue than is there. Yes, it is that time of year isn't it? I must remember to get our traps set. We have a good habit of keeping the doors closed when they cut the crops, otherwise you end up with lost mice inside without a doubt. I'd be glad to wear a mask with that too - take care not to breathe it in. I hope that you both have a good week too xxx
