Day 228 : Tracery

A Dorset technique button today, although not a traditional design. Really, more of a doodle button I guess. Either way, I do like this one. Part of a theme idea in my head, I've worked on a few others before. It still isn't quite there yet though!

I wish I had more time to put together my journals - then some of the progression of these ideas would make more sense.

Another busy weekend, still working on some instructions for a kit, and doing some tablet weaving samples.

OK, I've "sat" on this button for a couple of days. I'm really not sure. But I like it too much to cut it out and start over! And, a little while later, I still feel the same, and won't cut it away, which means it should be part of the challenge!

Well, I'm glad this week is over. Just seems to have been "one of those". Ended on a good note though, a socially distanced visit from the lovely Lou Withers (for those who don't know, a talented demonstrator on Hochanda, and super nice person to boot!) at the unit. So nice to catch up - and the new little hands-thingie we both did at the same time to represent a hug was quite funny. The reality of the current times.

A doodle ring button today. Half day, half night.... I like the way this one turned out!

Well, couriers arrived - yay! Also got lots of stock kits packed, as well as more step-by-step photos taken, so a very productive day today. But somehow it doesn't feel like it, my list is still rather long. I've made two annoying mistakes this week as well. Ah the joys of a small business :)

I've used a No 105 ring, and cotton perle No 12.
