A watery braid button today. Playing round with shapes last night, it didn't occur to me that the shapes was a bit like a Viking ship until I checked my email this morning! My Viking fosterlings are obviously having an influence on me.

Today's button is made up of an inkle woven tape, twisted cord and a pompom. Might be the influence of kittens in the house making me create pompoms two nights in a row? 

The tape is a smallish piece I had left over, it has a double row of dots and that gives the appearance of little beads. 

Friday! What a week. I'm really looking forward to a lie-in haha!

I know, the name is a bit out of season, but this toggle button made me think of candy, and I already have a button named Candy! The centre is a nice dark plum sort of shade, so I think it works. Perhaps if the Sugar Plum fairy wears a duffle coat with toggles in bad weather, these would be the ones. Gosh I like that imagine! The Sugar Plum Fairy in a duffle coat! Might have to get the sketchbook out tonight! I like these types of toggle button, the ends are effectively mini pompoms, and who doesn't like a pompom, really? The binding is a Turks head knot. 

I hope that those of you about to go into new lockdown measures are doing ok. It is very frustrating that things are picking up again.
