Guess what! Another knot. Another globe knot too. I'm really liking these. This one is larger, in that it has more crossings. I've then picked out just a few to wrap to create the top design.

Very busy long day, packing orders (thank you again!) and will be tomorrow. So I will keep this short again.

Today's button is about texture again, this time a basketweave. I was not happy with the way that I worked this - the sides were ugly. So, a little bit of edge grappe, and and all is fixed :)

Many thanks to those of you who tuned in to the show. That was much busier than we expected! Thank you. Need a good night's sleep though - 5.30 am starts don't work well with me these days.

Day 217 : Globe

Another clever and imaginative name for today's button - not. This is a globe knot. They are tied differently to turks heads, and really do cover a sphere really well, hence the name. I've embellished this one with thread again - I am really enjoying playing with these. It isn't something that is often seen (I have seen a few - usually made in Morocco) and you know, it really is a lovely way to make a unique design. I've added another side picture, as I like that too!

Short and sweet today - need to finish getting everything ready for my show on Hochanda TV  at 9am tomorrow morning. Have to be up bright and early to travel to the studio, and sort out all of the samples and my demos. Oh, and the photos are all properly lost. Luckily, the important ones of family were already backed up. Some step by steps of some of my buttons are gone though!
