Mark named today's button. A traditional style - most often made with soutache but really many braids and cords can be used. I was actually trying out a way of doing the centre to see if I could make it easier for a beginner. Not quite yet! I'll figure it out. 

I hope that you are all having a good weekend - weather has slightly improved for us, forecast a bit brighter tomorrow, so time to check the last of the veg in our garden. One lettuce got really soggy in the bad weather a while back, so I left it. It has now gone to seed, quite an impressive plant actually!

A little button today - and one that I really should have worked larger. That's because I tried something different, but you really need to peer at it to see it, so I will have to try the same thing on something larger, just to see if it does look as different as I thought.

Just a pretty, colourful zwirnknopfe today! No plan, just paying with colours. Because of the technique used for a zwirnknopfe button, it is quite easy to unwind and change your mind if something doesn't look quite right. 

I do hope everyone is having a decent day today. It's been wet and miserable today, but I've managed to be quite efficient and get some stock components counted and put away.
