Day 133 : Plush
Nope, I still am not keen on the changes to the blogger layout. Guess I'll get used to it ;)
Today's button is one using the plushwork technique - so quite a boring name really, but it does best describe this very tactile button! I've used regular stranded embroidery cotton for the plush part, it almost looks like silk.
I've used a square button mould in a size we don't actually make - cut out a little larger for a commission at some time.
Size : 23mm / 7⁄8" / 34L
Okay, I love this one. Plush is just so satisfying and tactile. Is that two colours I see in there? Concentric squares? (Can squares be concentric? :D)
ReplyDeleteIt's only one colour, the lighter area is what was closest to the form (and only one form), so shorter lengths once cut. I assume the length is playing with the way it reflects the light, so looks like there are more.
DeleteIt's super effective!
