Day 327 : Doodle Hearts

I really love the almost sketchy feel of this button. I think it would look pretty cool with black outlines too - a bit like tattoos. The extra doodle lines did really relax the original woven hearts, which are actually even and structured (from my Woven Motif booklet). 

Finished my tassel, ready for the post tomorrow. Now to try to unwind, for an evening. And catch up on my emails. Good job my Mom is very understanding.

Day 2326 : Cosmos

Today's button combines some ordinary stitching (using one of our button border stamps for the circles!) and plushwork stitching. I love plushwork. But then again I love pompoms and velvet too :) As I used a variegated thread, the randomness of the colours turned out really well. 

Still working away on the tassel - onto the goldwork macrame overskirt this evening and tomorrow. That will take a fair bit of time as the thread is so small.

Day 325 : Festive Circle

I know, I know! Waay too early! But, the button spoke. It was going to be red, white and blue, and really quite different, but the red and white just looked so festive, I had to go with it. And when you are creating one a day, you do just have to let the button talk. 

I hope everyone's week has been ok. It does feel weird that we are needing to think about what we can order for the holidays instead of wander and shop. Mark and I are trying to go to smaller companies where ever we can, so are making some unusual lists!
