A bit of needlework for today's button. This started with a cloth covered button, with grappé added (this is a design in my Victorian Button Journal Kit). I've then added the extra needlework. I haven't yet come across this in an antique button, but if worked in the correct colours, I reckon it could easily have 'fitted' in. 

Nearly ready for the show now, I've popped a YouTube video up which shows how to use the new tablet weaving loom we will be launching tomorrow on our 9am show on Hochanda. I'll be working a whole selection of films using this loom, so hopefully I will manage to keep up with my self-inflicted schedule!

Yes, another knot again! And more thread doodling. Just some simple weaving with the contrast thread, certainly mindful in between getting show ready!

And so yes, a short post today. Still a lot to do, I expect tomorrow's post will be short too. I expect it won't be long before I am boring you all with my thoughts!

A turk's head knot again today - this time tied with a thin piece of leather that I cut (in a spiral, quite pleased with myself on that, haha!) and then knotted. I was going to burnish it, but just did not have the time - I will do another that gets properly burnished. Instead, I painted a patent leather paint onto the leather. 

This is the first time I have tried it. The edges of the leather needs to be burnished for the patent leather to look really convincing I think, but I do like the effect. 

No mould - the button is stuffed with the excess leather (as I started with a longer piece then tightened down the knot).
